In France there were a lot of ads on the net and on TV. I was quite surprised that they were marketing it so much since I was expecting them to cater more to a niche market than the masses.

I played the demo on Friday and was actually pleasantly surprised. I've never been a SC fan but I really enjoyed the demo though pretty short.
Nice smooth gameplay, dont see what people are talking about when they say "clunky controls". And the stealth is definitely still there. It's just a lot faster than previous SC games.
The only bad points was the screen tearing in like the first 30 secs of the demo (but never showed up again) and the graphics. Definitely not...

People disliked it because it looked different from previous PS FF's. Weird looking characters and stuff. The design kept a lot of people from buying it. Too bad for them.
Anyways, I've never bought a PSN or XBLA game but this will surely be the first one I buy.
